Bellagio Alley
from $143.50
This image was taken in the town of Bellagio, Italy on Lake Como. The rustic Italian architecture on a sun-drenched September day made for a perfect scene in this charming alleyway. This image presents with a distressed texture to complement the spirit of the scene. Please see the catalog for traditional black and white and sepia versions of this piece.

Hong Kong Junk
from $143.50
This photographs show one of the few remaining junk boats left in Hong Kong Harbor. This one is used for tourist rides. The thick, humid atmosphere separates the modern Hong Kong skyline from the traditional design of the junk. I feel that this image looks especially nice in the floating frame options but feel free to choose the full frame options if you prefer.

Venice Canal
from $143.50
A quiet canal in Venice, Italy illuminated by beautiful Italian sunlight and thick atmosphere. This photograph brings any room to life with its classic Italian feel and old world charm. I feel that this photograph looks very nice in the black or wood frame options.

May 2011 ADNW Painting Challenge
Sorry I am late folks. I have a good excuse. My son is getting married in four weeks. It is a little crazy around here but alas I have an image for you to work on. As my wife was doing a walk through at the church where my son is getting married, I was…yep [...]
April 2011 ADNW Painting Challenge
Let’s do a portrait this month. I have had a coupe of request to paint Zoe since posting her photo a little while ago. I think this is a great challenge because of the narrow values you will have to deal with. Getting the relative values right will be the key to pulling this one [...]
March 2011 ADNW Painting Challenge
Let’s do a figure this month. Rumor has it that this gentleman has been playing in Central Park for years. I spent a few hours in the park in November shooting on the Mall and this shot is one of my favorites. I think this one can be fun with the complexities of the subject [...]
February 2011 ADNW Painting Challenge
Dang, I need to get out and take some more pictures. I had a tough time deciding which one to put up this month. I hope you like this photo. It is one of my personal favorites from my trip to Venice just over a year ago. I thought the reflections on the gondola and [...]
January 2011 ADNW Painting Challenge
Sorry I am late. It has been a rough week. Without getting into the gory details, a planned outpatient surgery ended up turning into a full blown ordeal. Doctors were everywhere and they all have been fabulous. I can’t say enough about the nurses too. It takes a special kind of person to do what [...]
December 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
As we say goodbye to fall, I thought it would be appropriate to select a nice autumn photo for December’s painting challenge. When I saw this bridge while wandering Central Park a few weeks ago, I actually thought it was the very same one featured in a Perry Brown oil painting I own. I checked [...]
November 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
From my trip to Venice just over a year ago, here is November’s photo. There are so many nooks and crannies in Venice that you can actually find a place or two without any people. Sorry, but nothing like a modern tourist to ruin the shot. Myself included! I found shooting the canals a bit [...]
October 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
Direct from Italy, here is October’s photo. There are a lot of painting possibilities in this photo of a little restaurant in the town of Bellagio. To me it seemed like the perfect challenge photo. This place was up the same alley as the one featured in the post entitled “The Real Bellagio”. I visited [...]
September 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
Sorry so late this month but my life is nuts right now! I thought I would try to simply the challenge a little this month. I fear that the photos that I have been posting have been to tough to paint. Just let me know if I am off base here. Anyway, here is your [...]
August 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
I thought I had better get this month’s photo up because it is about to get crazy! I have a week of travel on the east coast, then I will be heading to Switzerland and Italy for fun and adventure with my beautiful bride. I won’t tell you where I will be heading next but [...]

I travel the world in search of beauty and bring home what I see through my lens.
By sharing what I learn along the way, I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions daily.
