April’s Photos to Paint Challenge

I thought we should celebrate spring with this month’s photos to paint challenge. The first flower to appear in our garden every year is the crocus. Happily, this was the week for them to spring up and I took the opportunity to shoot a few pictures of them this morning. I love this time of year. The mountain bluebirds have returned, the western meadowlarks can be heard in the distance, and pairs of horned larks can be seen flying overhead. Add all this to flowers popping in the garden and I am reminded all is well with the world!
