Fall Apsens of Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park Aspens
As summer begins to fade and the march toward winter continues, the vibrant color and falling leaves of Colorado’s aspens in Rocky Mountian  National Park sing the rhetoric of goodbye. The colors of fall were on full display in Rocky Mountain National Park this weekend and today’s photo was among my favorites taken during our hikes. Laying on my back, I looked for a compelling composition that captured the feeling of being dwarfed by these beautiful old aspen trees. As I looked up through my lens, bursts of autumn breezes caused the back lit leaves to sparkle in the sun as they cascaded to the ground. Within a week the vibrant yellow display of the aspens will likely be over but I look forward to capturing equally compelling displays of beauty as the Colorado snow begins to fall.

Have a great week!
