Dewey tulips after an early May snow

I am not always sure what makes things beautiful. Sometimes they just are. After an early May winter revival, I got up Friday and found our tulips adorned in jewelry. Our spring snow always gives way to bright sunny mornings which lights up the dew like diamonds. I love our garden.

    Oh so beautiful, Lee!

  2. Beautiful shot Lee – did you shoot this with the 100mm macro? Love how the light really glints off the dew drops!

If this is what you see in the mornings, I love your garden too! Jewelry stores should have such merchandise as these “diamonds”.

Wow! I’d forgotten what snow, ice and cold could do for flowers! The tulips are gorgeous. I’m now going to await your photos of the Asian/oriental poppies that only grow where there’s snow and cold. My in-laws lived in Denver and I was truly jealous of the huge, huge poppies that grew out of the snow. Happy wedding ahead and best wishes to your son.
