View of Grindlewald, Switzerland from Männlichen

This Grindelwald viewshot was taken from The Männlichen in Switzerland, which is a 2,343 (7,687ft) meter mountain in the Swiss Alps located near the Lauterbrunnen Valley where we stayed on vacation this summer. The town you see at the base of the mountain is Grindelwald, the famous winter destination that offers ski slopes for beginners and intermediates as well as challenges for the insanely experienced on the Eiger glacier. You get an incredible 360 degree view from The Männlichen that should be experienced once in everyone’s lifetime. If I were to turn up the hill for a short ten-minute walk, I would be at the location of the “Awestruck in Lauterbrunnen” post photo I uploaded a while back. That is a lot of view material for a single day, I guarantee you! To get to Männlichen, we hiked two-and-a-half hours down from our Hotel in Murren to Lauterbrunnen, took a cog rail car to Wengen, and then a cable car to Männlichen. It is easily done in a single day with the efficiency of Switzerland’s transportation system.
