September 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
Sorry so late this month but my life is nuts right now! I thought I would try to simply the challenge a little this month. I fear that the photos that I have been posting have been to tough to paint. Just let me know if I am off base here. Anyway, here is your September photo. It is, of course, from Switzerland. We went to an open air museum that was full of great Swiss structures. I could have spent two days there. I have more from this museum that I will blog about soon.
I would like to try and get the submission count up a bit and need your help. If you can, please invite a friend to submit. I have a lot of aprons to give away and would love to be able to send them out. Thanks!
For those interested, I am heading to Hong Kong and China next week looking for more interesting challenge subjects!
Please use the form below to submit your painting by the last day of September. Your picture should be a high-quality jpg image that is at least 480 pixels along its longest dimension at 72 pixels per inch.

Have fun,

I travel the world in search of beauty and bring home what I see through my lens.
By sharing what I learn along the way, I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions daily.
Hi Lee,
In reply to your question as to whether the pictures you have been posting for the challenges are too difficult. I don’t know how others feel, but for myself, I like them and the challenge they pose. I am a relatively new painter – one year in Oct. since I began – and find yours are the better of most challenges. I would hope you would not dummy down your photos. In fact, there have been pictures of your travels that I would loved to have painted.
Thanks!
Jean
Thanks for the input Jean. I will keep them challenging while reminding folks that all skill levels are welcome. Take care, /Lee
I love the challenge your photographs offer also. The last one of the yellow taxi in particular, I learned a great deal about light & reflections. And your work is so great, Lee, that it double challenges me to do them justice! Thank you for sharing your work. I’m looking forward to what new challenges your recent trip will bring!
Do not fret with the reference pictures – They are good (very
), and each one can be a challenge – As you saw everyone tried is own interpretation in the past.
But you know also life is outside the internet too – and the challenge is to be able to paint … and not only the internet painting challenges
Hope the best to you and your readers!
