August 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
I thought I had better get this month’s photo up because it is about to get crazy! I have a week of travel on the east coast, then I will be heading to Switzerland and Italy for fun and adventure with my beautiful bride. I won’t tell you where I will be heading next but I am really excited! Hmmmm…great future challenges coming with international flair!
Above is your August Painting Challenge photo. It is also from our recent trip to Santa Barbara. Over the Memorial Day weekend, Donna and I were walking down the huge new sidewalk along the Santa Barbara beach when I saw this car and stopped in my tracks. It was a vision of perfection before my eyes. I am not sure if “Liz” was anywhere around but I plopped my tripod down about two feet away from the bumper and starting taking pictures. How can you not love the design of this car? I was actually disappointed the first time I went to New York City and did not see any of these. I always had fond memories of them from the movies. They evoke a feeling of nostalgia and are somewhat romantic if you ask me.
If you look close on the hi-res image you can see me, tripod and all, in the bumper on the left side. Oh, and Donna is just to the right.
Please use the form below to submit your painting by the last day of August. Your picture should be a high-quality jpg image that is at least 480 pixels along its longest dimension at 72 pixels per inch.

I travel the world in search of beauty and bring home what I see through my lens.
By sharing what I learn along the way, I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions daily.
Fabulous photo, Lee! Lucky Liz, too!
