July 2010 ADNW Painting Challenge
I hope you all had a fabulous Fourth! We ended up getting a ton of rain last night but there was enough of a let up to get the fireworks off. All is well that ends well.
Above is your July Painting Challenge photo. It should come as no surprise that it is from our trip to Santa Barabara. One of the days we were there, we took a drive over to the Santa Barbara Mission. The subject photo was taken in one of the Mission’s inner courtyards. This scene was a little too hard to pass up. I loved the graveyard with the cross adorned stone wall in the background with a door leading to…?
It was an absolutely beautiful day as you can tell. The sun was warm but not overly hot. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, there was quite a gathering out on the front lawn of the mission, which added a festive atmosphere to the visit. Thanks again to all that participate in the challenge. I am looking forward to seeing how you interpret this one!
Please use the form below to submit your painting by the last day of July. Your picture should be a high-quality jpg image that is at least 480 pixels along its longest dimension at 72 pixels per inch.

I travel the world in search of beauty and bring home what I see through my lens.
By sharing what I learn along the way, I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions daily.
This is one gorgeous photo, Lee. I hope I can find the time to attempt this one. If not, I think I will want to do it sooner rather than later on my own speed! It is stunning. I am so in love with rock walls and buildings. They are just so exquisite!
