Sherry - Thanks! It does sound a bit complicated doesn't it? Glad you liked the house. It was pretty eye catching. Just to the left is the ice skating rink. I love wandering around Central Park. It is truly an oasis in the middle of chaos!

Hi Stacey. Glad you liked the pics. I know you are a camera buff too. Did you ever get the Canon? I think you said it was on your list this year. Great suggestion on the sunsets. I always wondered how I was going to learn to paint that fast!

Hi Perry. The blog pics you posted recently got me thinking about this. I was digging around the net for photography/Photoshop techniques and found this HDR thing. Pretty fun and rewarding. Glad you found it informative. It always helps to know someone is reading this!

These are great!

I just discovered HDR myself. I've been bracketing exposures for years, then working from multiple photos in the studio when I don't have proper studies (one photo for the foreground, one for the sky, etc). Now I just use the auto merge to HDR feature in photoshop - doesn't take long, and it's a great tool for extremely high contrast situations (a lifesaver for sunsets that are hard to catch plein air!).

These photos are all gorgeous! (Ok, I admittedly glazed over on the technexpertise talk, but I am sending my husband here to read this entry. He's a photography nut and took training from the NYIP years ago...pre digital camera age, though he has one of those too. He'll enjoy reading this and possibly following through on the process as well.) I find myself wanting to be inside that Snow White's house in photo #2! Gorgeous!
