Bellagio Alley
from $143.50
This image was taken in the town of Bellagio, Italy on Lake Como. The rustic Italian architecture on a sun-drenched September day made for a perfect scene in this charming alleyway. This image presents with a distressed texture to complement the spirit of the scene. Please see the catalog for traditional black and white and sepia versions of this piece.

Hong Kong Junk
from $143.50
This photographs show one of the few remaining junk boats left in Hong Kong Harbor. This one is used for tourist rides. The thick, humid atmosphere separates the modern Hong Kong skyline from the traditional design of the junk. I feel that this image looks especially nice in the floating frame options but feel free to choose the full frame options if you prefer.

Venice Canal
from $143.50
A quiet canal in Venice, Italy illuminated by beautiful Italian sunlight and thick atmosphere. This photograph brings any room to life with its classic Italian feel and old world charm. I feel that this photograph looks very nice in the black or wood frame options.

ADNW Logo Wear Arrives!
I am excited to announce that the official ADNW Artist Apron has finally arrived! The first one will go to ADNW Passion Award recipient Peggy Skattebo, who has been patiently waiting for the stitching to be completed. There have been no other Passion Award nominations so I guess I will have a box of these [...]
“Autumn Aspen” Oil Painting
I really did not plan to paint this weekend. On top of being totally crazy at work, fitting in a concert at Red Rocks on Thursday, taking in a major league baseball game on Friday, and a memorial service on Saturday, I was pretty worn out and was looking forward to a weekend of not [...]
Learning from the Masters – Study #1
Author’s note: I want everyone to know that the image above is not my my original work. It was painted by me but as a study of an original piece by Clyde Aspevig for learning and educational purposes only. The original work can be found here. During my life, I have played viola, french horn, [...]
Bavarian Perfection at BMW World
After a weeklong business trip in Munich last November, Donna flew over to meet me for a few days of exploring Munich and the Bavarian and Austrian countryside. Germany is a fantastic place to visit. Getting around by train and car is easy, English is frequently spoken, and the architecture and scenery is breathtaking. [...]
Rewiring My Brain for Fine Art
As fruitful as my professional career has been, I feel it has created a few challenges with my transition to fine art. I am not complaining. I know that having spent endless hours laying out brochures, designing logos and rendering 3D graphics has helped me make progress in my fine art pursuits. The problem is [...]
“Mount Gould View” Oil Painting
This is my Fourth of July painting. Thank goodness for three-day weekends because I needed the extra time to redo the mountain on this three times! Rocks, especially big ones, intimidate me. I spent about half the time on this just tweaking the value relationships on the rocks and trees to try and get them right before [...]
Observations About Mixed Colors
I am by no means an expert on mixing color. I have, however, struggled to figure out which colors I should put on my palette and have struggled to mix the right colors for my paintings. For these reasons, I thought I would share an exercise that I tried recently that was aimed at helping [...]

I travel the world in search of beauty and bring home what I see through my lens.
By sharing what I learn along the way, I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions daily.
